Welcome to Alexandra Torres' creative world! Art has been a part of her life from the very beginning, growing up painting alongside her father, Horacio Torres, a renowned abstract figurative artist. In his Soho studio she first experimented with brushes and colors on newsprint, sparking a lifelong passion. Later studying at NYU and the Art Students League, initially painting still lifes and nudes. Critic Clement Greenberg led her to explore bold color fields and dreamlike compositions.
